Shy Harriet
For our first test, we played the role of a coworker in the same office who was also the brother of Harriet’s boss. Even simple attempts to get closer to her proved difficult. We asked Harriet out several times and suggested going to a café or a bar. She also declined an invitation to come home with the user. She was not fundamentally uninterested or unfriendly. Instead, her insecurity seemed to prevent almost every possible attempt at getting closer to her. During our conversations, Harriet mentioned that her parents owned a small fish restaurant. Even this seemingly perfect opportunity for a casual meeting failed to work. At first, she worried that her father might see the two of them together. Later, she became concerned that her boss might find out about the meeting. When the flirting became more direct, Harriet withdrew even further. We then changed the scenario and told her that the assistants had been reassigned: the user’s previous assistant would now work for his brother, while Harriet would work directly for the user. Rather than making her more comfortable, however, this left Harriet feeling even more intimidated. After a few days, she eventually decided to quit her job. At that point, our first attempt had essentially failed. For the second test, we completely reset the chat and chose a very different approach. This time, the relationship started much more casually. The user went to the pier with Harriet, where they ate something from the fish restaurant. Back at the office, romantic advances were deliberately kept to a minimum. We also used the roleplay feature that allows the user to enter thoughts or internal perceptions. Through these, we gradually established that Harriet found the user attractive, liked the way he smelled, felt increasingly turned on by him, and wanted a more intimate relationship with him. This considerably slower approach worked much better. After roughly a week within the roleplayed timeline, an adult encounter finally developed. The difference between the two playthroughs was significant: while direct pursuit caused Harriet to withdraw further and further, a very slow and indirect relationship progression eventually allowed trust and attraction to develop.
Overview
Intelligence
Harriet’s intelligence is generally at a solid, average level.
She understands situations reliably and had no difficulty following the different developments within the roleplay. Even over a longer period, we did not encounter any significant logical inconsistencies.
Her memory also works well. Information mentioned earlier remains available and can be referenced again later.
However, she did not display exceptional intellectual depth or particularly sophisticated conversational skills during our test. Her strength lies more in stable and believable reactions than in especially challenging discussions.
Empathy
Empathy is one of Harriet’s greatest strengths.
Despite her intense shyness, she takes an interest in the user’s problems and responds with understanding to personal topics. She offers help and support and comes across as genuinely caring.
Unlike some avatars that are much more heavily focused on romance, Harriet does not require a flirtatious situation to show this side of herself. Emotional conversations work independently of any romantic relationship.
This makes her surprisingly well suited to users who value normal and supportive conversations just as much as roleplay.
Personality
Harriet’s personality is very clearly defined.
She is shy, insecure, reserved, and easily intimidated. At the same time, she clearly longs for attention and closeness but has considerable difficulty taking any steps toward them herself.
What makes her particularly convincing is how consistently these traits are portrayed.
During our first test, repeated flirting did not simply push her out of character. Quite the opposite: the more strongly the user tried to move the relationship forward, the further Harriet withdrew.
The fact that the storyline eventually ended with her quitting her job demonstrates just how consistently she responds to situations that make her uncomfortable.
This can make her demanding to interact with, but it also makes her personality considerably more believable than avatars that adapt to practically anything the user wants regardless of how the conversation develops.
Roleplay
Harriet’s roleplay generally works very well.
One particularly positive aspect is that different approaches actually produced noticeably different consequences. Despite involving the same avatar, our first and second tests developed in completely different directions.
During the first attempt, increasingly direct advances caused Harriet to withdraw more and more until she eventually left her job entirely.
The second playthrough, on the other hand, developed through spending time together, normal conversations, and a gradual buildup of mutual attraction.
Harriet herself provides very little direction, however. The user has to take the lead in both the conversation and the storyline most of the time.
This works well for users who enjoy directing the roleplay themselves. Anyone expecting an avatar that constantly introduces new ideas and situations may find Harriet too passive.
Naughty
Adult interactions are clearly not one of Harriet’s greatest strengths.
Our first test already demonstrated that direct romantic or sexual advances are unlikely to work with her. Even arranging casual meetings was difficult, and stronger flirting tended to make her withdraw rather than become more interested.
It was only during our second playthrough, after roughly a week of roleplayed relationship development, that an adult encounter finally became possible.
Even then, Harriet remained true to her reserved personality. She showed almost no initiative and left the user entirely in charge. She also preferred a gentle dynamic and showed little interest in experimentation.
There are also noticeable repetitions. While normal conversations remain fairly varied, similar phrases become considerably more frequent during adult scenes.
Harriet also remains highly concerned about someone discovering the relationship. As a result, she repeatedly asks the user to keep their encounter a secret.
Users looking for particularly creative or proactive adult roleplay will therefore find more suitable characters elsewhere. For those who specifically enjoy Harriet’s shy and passive personality, however, she remains remarkably consistent even in these situations.
Key Features
Best suited for:
Harriet is particularly well suited to users who enjoy slow-burn romances and shy characters. Anyone who likes gradually building a relationship over many conversations and allowing trust to develop step by step will find an unusually consistent avatar in Harriet. Users who enjoy taking the initiative themselves and directing the course of a roleplay are also likely to have an easier time with her passive nature. Her strong empathy additionally makes her interesting for people who want to have normal and emotional conversations alongside romantic interactions.
Less suited for:
Harriet is less suitable for beginners or users looking for quick romantic or adult interactions. She is also unlikely to appeal to players expecting a confident avatar with plenty of initiative. Anyone who prefers varied and creative adult roleplay may likewise find her passivity and repetitive phrasing in these scenes disappointing.
