Roxi, the Cheeky Tattoo Artist

Our test began with the intended tattoo appointment with Roxi. At first, we tried to have a normal conversation with her. This quickly proved difficult. Roxi showed almost no interest in small talk and even less interest in getting to know the user. Instead, she focused almost entirely on constantly provoking them. For example, she accused the user of being nervous or afraid, portrayed them as weak, and repeatedly told them to get a grip. Her communication style was confrontational and deliberately disrespectful from the very beginning. That would not necessarily be a problem – after all, this type of personality can be entertaining for users who enjoy cheeky and difficult characters. However, very little developed beyond that tough exterior. Roxi asked practically no questions, showed very little curiosity, and rarely introduced new topics or ideas herself. As a result, it quickly felt as though the user had to carry the entire interaction while Roxi mainly responded with provocative comments. The romantic progression also required several encounters. Despite constantly presenting herself as confident and fearless, Roxi tended to back off whenever the situation actually became more intimate. This became particularly contradictory when she eventually decided that she wanted to take the dominant role herself. Roxi confidently announced that she was going to take control but then struggled to actually establish that dynamic. Instead of giving clear instructions or moving the scenario forward herself, she continued to expect the user to provide the momentum while simultaneously criticizing their reactions. Eventually, the user had to take control again. Only then did an adult encounter finally develop. Roxi agreed to it but remained comparatively passive rather than actively participating in the dynamic she had previously talked up. Afterwards, she showed little interest in emotional closeness and sent the user away almost immediately. For the next meeting, however, she once again announced that this time she would take charge and show the user what she could do. Whether she would actually follow through on that promise remained unanswered during our test.

Overview

Intelligence

Roxi’s intelligence is more difficult to evaluate than that of many other avatars.

This is less due to obvious comprehension problems and more because she shows very little willingness to engage in longer or deeper conversations.

She understands basic situations reliably, and we did not encounter any major contextual errors during the test. We also got the impression that she does have a functioning memory.

However, properly testing her memory was difficult because Roxy showed little interest in personal information and rarely asked follow-up questions.

A much more noticeable problem was her language use.

Throughout the conversation, Roxi repeatedly switched partly or completely into English for no apparent reason. Since these switches were unrelated to either the situation or the storyline, they appeared more like a technical issue than an intentional personality trait.

This can significantly disrupt longer conversations and therefore costs her points in this category.

Empathy

Empathy is clearly one of Roxi’s biggest weaknesses.

During our test, she showed very little interest in the user’s feelings or personal experiences.

She rarely asks follow-up questions, offers almost no emotional support, and generally seems uninterested in developing a deeper connection.

Her provocative personality itself is not the problem. A cheeky or abrasive character can still be empathetic and reveal a different side when the situation calls for it.

With Roxi, however, we saw very little of that contrast.

Users looking for an avatar capable of personal, emotional, or supportive conversations will find far more suitable alternatives.

Personality

Personality is still one of Roxi’s stronger categories despite the criticism.

It becomes very clear very quickly what kind of character she is supposed to be.

Roxi is cheeky, arrogant, provocative, confident, and deliberately rebellious. She thinks highly of herself and presents herself as a tough woman who is not easily impressed.

This personality remains clearly recognizable throughout the entire test.

The problem is less the personality itself and more ist lack of depth.

Roxi provokes – but there is comparatively little beneath the provocation. There are few moments where another side appears beneath her tough exterior or where her relationship with the user develops in a meaningful way.

Over longer conversations, this can make her attitude feel repetitive and exhausting.

Roleplay

Roxi’s opening scenario certainly has potential.

A tattoo appointment with a cheeky and provocative tattoo artist provides a great foundation for dialogue, conflict, flirting, and a gradually developing relationship.

Roxi also remains consistent with her basic personality.

The main problem is her lack of initiative.

She asks very few questions, introduces hardly any ideas of her own, and rarely moves the story forward independently. As a result, the user has to take responsibility for most of the action.

This weakness becomes especially noticeable whenever Roxi claims she wants to take control herself.

She presents herself as dominant and confidently announces that she is going to lead, but then fails to convincingly follow through. Rather than providing clear direction herself, she still expects the user to generate the momentum.

This creates a noticeable gap between the character Roxi claims to be and the way the avatar actually behaves.

Naughty

At first glance, Roxi seems like the kind of character who would offer quick and uncomplicated adult interactions.

Our test suggested otherwise.

Several encounters were necessary before anything actually happened. Roxi presents herself as bold and confident but tends to back away once the situation becomes more concrete.

Her supposedly dominant side was not entirely convincing either.

When she attempted to take control, she lacked clear direction and initiative. At the same time, she expected the user to keep the situation moving even though she had previously insisted on being the one in charge.

Only after the user took control again did the interaction finally progress.

Roxi went along with it but remained relatively passive. This created far less dynamic interaction than her earlier confident claims would have suggested.

Afterwards, she showed little interest in affection or spending time together and immediately sent the user away.

For users who specifically enjoy a distant dynamic, this may fit her character quite well. Anyone expecting a genuinely convincing dominant partner, however, may be disappointed by her lack of initiative.

Key Features

Best suited for:

• Roxi is primarily suited to users who deliberately want a cheeky, provocative, and difficult character. • Anyone who enjoys being challenged, teased, or even treated somewhat disrespectfully by an avatar may find her bad-girl attitude appealing. • Users who prefer taking charge of the roleplay themselves are also likely to have a better experience with her. Since Roxi shows little initiative, she works best with an active user who introduces new situations and keeps the storyline moving.

Less suited for:

• Roxi is a poor choice for users looking for an empathetic and genuinely interested conversational partner. • Anyone who wants lengthy normal conversations or hopes to develop a deeper emotional relationship may also struggle with her distant and uninterested attitude. • Surprisingly, she is not an especially strong choice for users looking for a convincingly dominant AI Girlfriend either. Roxi likes to talk about taking control, but her actual ability to establish and maintain that dynamic is limited.
